A landmark partnership will strengthen player safety, development, and Olympic opportunities for Jamaican athletes as flag football prepares for LA2028.
Jamaica has world-class athletes and a thriving flag football community
ISA and Flag Football Jamaica (FFJ) are coming together to build a safe, sustainable, and world-class flag football ecosystem in Jamaica and across the Jamaican diaspora. This partnership aligns FFJ with ISA’s player-first philosophy, emphasizing safety innovation, AI-powered performance technology, and grassroots development.
The collaboration will bring enhanced coaching education, advanced cognitive safety programs, elite player development camps, and clear Olympic pathways for Jamaican athletes.
Both Toby Lettman, COO and Head of Europe at ISA, and Olanzo Jarrett, President of FFJ, share a connection as alumni of the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League. Jarrett is also a two-time NCAA champion with The University of Toledo.
" Jamaica has world-class athletes and a thriving flag football community. We're excited to partner with FFJ to help create a safer, smarter, and more competetive environment for Jamaican athletes" said Toby Lettman, CEO & Head of Europe.
While flag football is non-contact, cognitive safety and injury prevention are still top priorities. A cornerstone of the partnership is the integration of BrainSafe, an advanced cognitive safety and concussion management platform. BrainSafe’s AI-powered monitoring, education, and cognitive health tracking will be embedded across FFJ programs to set a new safety standard.
" For over a decade, our team has been passionately running grassroots programs in Jamaica, and our diaspora football community is thrilled to rise up and represent our nation,” said Olanzo Jarrett, President of Flag Football Jamaica.
ISA invites forward-thinking federations and organizations worldwide to collaborate in building a safer, smarter, and more inclusive future for all forms of the game.
